What Mossy Oak Graphics patterns go with what environments.
Whether you’re a dedicated hunting expert or someone who simply enjoys the hunting and camo lifestyle, Mossy Oak Graphics does not limit our audience. We realize that not all customers know every little detail about our patterns (however, if you do, we tip our hats off to you). It’s our job to provide you with all of the information you need to succeed with Mossy Oak Graphics. Having said that, a huge part of Mossy Oak Graphics is understanding what pattern should be used in what specific environments.
If you’ve ever wondered what patterns are meant to be used in what environment, or the purpose of one of the Mossy Oak camo patterns, look no further.
Bottomland & Original Bottomland
Bottomland was the first pattern that Mossy Oak developed. As technology has advanced and photographic images have changed the appearance of camouflage, plenty of hunters still remain loyal to the vintage original, Bottomland. With Bottomland’s natural bark elements, this pattern is ideal for hunting ducks in flooded timber, turkey hunting in the hardwoods, or deer hunting from a treestand. Anyplace you find your back against a large tree. Although technology is advancing camo and hunting, bottomland is still an extremely popular pattern today, which demonstrates how loyal our customers are to our authentic pattern.
Break-up is the ideal pattern for blending into a wooded environment because of its realistic background which demonstrates the texture and depth of the woods. Break-up features a realistic bark background with soft grays and natural shadow contrasts that can be found in the woods, making it the ideal pattern to blend into those environments and making the woods come to life.
Break-up Infinity was developed to capture the depth, detail and definition of a wooded environment. This pattern is ideal for not only deer hunting, but turkey hunting as well, demonstrating how versatile this pattern is for hunters. So, the next time you’re headed out to the woods, don’t forget to bring your Break-up Infinity pattern along with you.
If you’re looking for a more universal hunting pattern, Breakup Country is definitely the pattern you are searching for. This pattern’s elements have been increased in size in order to make the leaves and branches larger and more visible to the naked eye. Breakup Country will help to destroy the outline or silhouette of the person or object camouflaged. Breakup Country is the newest of the Mossy Oak patterns, with the digitally sharp elements and larger format this pattern is already a huge hit.
Obsession was designed specifically for turkey hunting in the spring woods. Because of the foliage that comes out during this time in the spring, Obsession was made to be able to blend in with those specific environments and features. Not to mention, Obsession is the official pattern of the National Turkey Federation. If that doesn’t convince you that Obsession is perfect for turkey hunting season, then we don’t know what will.
Have you ever hunted waterfowl in a cut cornfield or other grain fields, a wetland with grass, reeds, or cattails and wanted to better blend in with the environment around you? Well, Shadow Grass Blades or Duck Blind are the waterfowl camo patterns you’ve been looking for. With their advanced looking blades inspired by nature and overall natural appearance, these patterns are ideal for the hunt around wetlands. With muted shades of brown, tan, and gray, these patterns are perfect for blending into wetland environments.
Treestand is the optimal pattern for the deer hunter, and perfect for (literally) blending in with the environment of a hunter in an elevated position. Since the environment around a treestand is usually bare without leaves, Treestand was developed for a more gray, no color look to blend in with bare trees. Because of this, there are few leaf elements and a grayer, lighter tone to the pattern. It’s no wonder deer hunters are so in love with this pattern!
Brush was influenced and inspired by the Southwest where there are more dry open terrains. Because of this, sage brush elements, grasses, dirt, and shadows have been incorporated, leaving this pattern perfect for hunting in the Southwest and perfect for our customers in Texas. Looking to blend in and out of a predator’s sight? Brush should be the next camouflage pattern you purchase.
In many areas there is snow on the ground most of the hunting season. Winter and Winter Brush are ideal for the frigid winter and snow covered ground, making it the perfect Christmas gift for your favorite hunter. These patterns have a snow white background with either sticks and limbs or grass elements. This appearance enables you to blend in with the powdered environment around you during your hunt.
While our other hunting patterns let you blend in, our lifestyle patterns let you stand out. Even though our lifestyle patterns aren’t necessarily used for a specific hunting purpose or an environment, that doesn’t mean these patterns aren’t as important. At Mossy Oak Graphics, we are passionate about the hunting lifestyle, which means we want to take camouflage to its full potential. Our lifestyle patterns are commonly used for truck interiors, decals, and other hunting and non-hunting objects that let your inner-hunter stand out.
With as many environments our patterns are used for, it’s clear that there is a pattern out there for everyone. If you’ve been wondering what pattern you should purchase, we’re hoping this post can be of help so you can find the perfect match.
